Intro 2 Golf

History Of Golf

Golf, a cross-country game in which a player hits a small ball at various clubs from a series of starting points (tees) to a series of holes on the course. The player who puts the ball with the least stroke into the pot wins. It is difficult to pinpoint the origin of the game, but evidence suggests that early forms of golf were played first in the Netherlands and then in Scotland.

Since the somewhat ambiguous ancient times, games have gained worldwide popularity, especially in the 20th century. Nothing is known about the most popular places in early games on the European continent, but in Scotland golf was first played on a seaside golf course. It wasn't until late in the development of the game that we started playing on dunes, marshes and green courses. Golfers participate at all levels, from recreational games to popular professional tournaments on television. Despite its appeal, golf is not for everyone. It requires a lot of skill and it can only be refined by a lot of patience and dedication.
